Description
We plan to be present to greet arriving guests starting at 11:00 a.m. until the ceremony begins at 1:00 p.m. (You are welcome to stay for the ceremony if desired.)
Service dogs and service dogs in training:
You can either meet us at Shady Grove Metro at 9:50 a.m., or meet us at the Wall at 11:00 a.m. or shortly thereafter. Those riding the metro with us: the train leaves Shady Grove at 10:04 a.m. and arrives at Farragut North at 10:40 a.m. We will disembark there and walk down 17th to Constitution and over to the Memorial.
Therapy dogs are welcome to attend, but you will need to drive separately and meet us there as you can't ride the metro with us.
Each year thousands of visitors to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial gather to honor our nation’s veterans. On this special day, prominent Americans from all walks of life come to the Memorial to deliver thought-evoking and patriotic speeches.
