CANCELLED Youth Workshop - Introduction to Hero Dogs

WHO: Children ages 5-12 from all youth organizations with adult supervision, as well as individual children with their parents/guardians, are encouraged to attend! 

WHAT: Longtime Hero Dogs Volunteer Maureen will give this kid-friendly presentation explaining the intensive, 2 1/2 year process of training service dogs. Kids will get the opportunity to tour the kennel, meet our newest puppy arrivals, see up-close demonstrations of our puppies' amazing skills, and learn about all the ways these dogs help individuals with disabilities. In addition, we'll discuss how and why a nonprofit like Hero Dogs functions to make these dogs available to American Veteran Heros who need them. There will be plenty of fun, interactive activities, time for questions, and puppy-petting time!

WHERE: Hero Dogs Kennel - Kids will get an inside look at our facility, which houses dogs who have progressed through the program to Advanced Training.
