Join the Development Committee!

If so, Hero Dogs is looking for volunteers to be on the Development Committee! Development Committee volunteers can help in many ways:

• Assist with coordinating, staffing, and finding sponsors for major Hero Dogs events, such as the annual Golf Tournament, graduations, and Rolling Thunder
• Identify, coordinate, and staff fundraising and community outreach events (in conjunction with the Outreach Committee)
• Staff giving campaign events, such as CFC and MCC
• Assist with developing and mailing the annual fund solicitation
• Develop and send regular correspondence to donors and potential donors
• Work with corporations and employers to include Hero Dogs in their employee giving and matching gift programs
• Coordinate and assist with focused communications (e.g. holiday messages, etc.)
• Find corporate, organizational, or individual major donors for financial support of the Hero Dogs mission
• Help create and maintain publicity and media strategy
• Assist with advertising for events
• Write and/or edit articles and press releases for print and web media
• Find radio, television, print, and web media opportunities to promote Hero Dogs
• Develop social media messages and posts

At this meeting, we will outline the activities planned for 2016 and seek volunteers to help with the various tasks. All are welcome! No experience necessary! If you are interested in helping but can't attend the meeting, please email volunteer@hero-dogs.org. We hope to see you there!
