Metropolitan Police Dept. Family Appreciation Day

The Metropolitan Police Department (Washington, DC's police force) has invited us to participate in their Annual MPD Family Appreciation Day. It is a very informal picnic with lots of food, activities and games. This is a great opportunity for service dogs in training, particularly the younger ones, to socialize with people of all ages. This is an outdoor event so therapy dogs also welcome and encouraged to attend. Responsibilties include greeting attendees and introducing them to Hero Dogs, Inc., our programs, and our canines.
